* Co-op America is being renamed Green America in January 2009 in celebration of our 25th Anniversary, and to better reflect who we are and where we are going. In the coming year, Co-op America will help families live green on a tight budget. We'll show how living green helps families and communities become more sustainable, secure and resilient. As we've always done, we'll provide the thought leadership on how to create an economy that works for people and planet, and brings sustainable prosperity for all. We'll also be launching Project LEAP - Low-carbon Energy Acceleration Plan - to show how we can combine solar, energy efficiency, and plug-in electric hybrid cars to jump start the economy, get to real energy independence within 10 years, and achieve the climate targets of 80-90% carbon emissions reduction by 2050.
